North Foreland Golf Club’s in-house PGA qualified golf professionals offer a warm and friendly
welcome, and the highest level of service and after-sales advice. With over forty-five years of combined experience, they’re more than ready to answer any queries or questions you may have.
Darren Parris, Senior PGA Professional
Darren’s style of straightforward, effective coaching has seen him teach all standards of players, including many other professionals. Having been PGA Qualified for over 15 years, he has valuable experience to draw upon to help improve your game.
Alternatively if you would prefer a playing lesson, Darren has played in the 2006 Open Championship, the 2005 PGA Cup, winning all five of his matches, and is twice a former winner of the Kent PGA Order of Merit. More recently, he was voted Foremost Professional in 2010, and won the inaugural Foremost Professional Championship in May 2011.
Alex Blown, Head PGA Professional
Alex's coaching style is simple. He believes IMPACT is everything! He is passionate about helping all levels of golfer understand impact better than ever, and what they can do to improve theirs, and break free from their struggles they have been facing. He understands how important golf is to people so he prides himself on being there for golfers, whenever they need him, and stand by them step by step through their journey. The only question golfers get askes is, WHAT DID YOU SHOOT? Therefore Alex works closely with the golfer to establish the best way to lower their scores. Alex is a certified PGA coach and enjoys imparting knowledge to other PGA Professionals and Club Golfers on their quest to become better golfers. Harvey Couchman, PGA Head Assistant Professional
Harvey is our Head Assistant Professional who recently became a fully qualified professional in 2022.
He runs a busy coaching dairy focusing on building strong relationships with his clients to understand their games and their most efficient ways of learning. His coaching style is to identify the key factors to improve ball flight in easy, understandable sections.
As well as this Harvey excels in Junior improvement and runs the 'Foreland Falcons Junior Academy'. Furthermore, he is also very much involved with our Junior League Team, regularly providing training sessions for our elite juniors.
Callum Piper, PGA Assistant Professional
Callum joined us in April 2019, prior to joining the Pro Shop team Callum qualified in level 3 primary school sports coaching and had experience of teaching youngsters in several local schools.
Callum started his PGA training in 2021, having previously turned proffesional of a +4 Handicap.
He regulary competes on the PGA Regional and National circuit along with the Clutch Pro Tour and uses his skills to help and assist golfers of all levels develop and improve.
